How we work

No surprises on the invoice and no decisions made on your behalf without telling you. Here is the sequence from first call to the day you can park on it.

Sequence

From first call to cure

01The estimate

Every quote follows a site visit. Concrete cannot be estimated properly from photographs or aerial imagery because the two things that drive cost — what is under the slab and how a truck reaches it — are not visible from above. On site we measure, look at the existing base where it is exposed, check where water runs, and establish access. That visit costs you nothing and carries no obligation.

02What the written scope contains

A quote from us states slab thickness, base material and compacted depth, reinforcement type, control joint layout, finish, and the disposal volume for any tear-out. It says what is included and what is not. The reason for that level of detail is simple: those are the variables that separate an honest price from a cheap one, and they are invisible once the concrete is down. A quote that only gives a square-foot rate is not comparable to one that specifies what is actually being built.

03Scheduling and weather

Concrete is weather-dependent and we will not pour into conditions that compromise the result. Pouring in heavy rain damages the surface. Pouring when temperatures are heading below freezing within the cure window risks the slab. If we move your date it is for one of those reasons, and we will tell you which.

04On the day

Tear-out and base prep typically take a day for a residential driveway, with the pour the following day. We protect what needs protecting, keep the work area contained, and clean up at the end of each day rather than at the end of the job.

05After the pour

You get the cure dates in writing: when you can walk on it, when you can park on it, and when it will take heavy vehicles. Those windows are not conservative padding — concrete gains roughly 70 percent of its strength in the first seven days and the rest over the following three weeks. We also tell you when to seal it, which for a new slab is not immediately.

06What we will tell you not to do

If your driveway does not need replacing, we will say so, and we will explain what it does need instead. If a resurfacing product has been proposed to you for a slab that is moving, we will explain why it will fail. We would rather lose a job than sell work that comes back.
